Society Objective Statement
The Society of Payment Security Professionals’ objective is to provide
individuals and organizations involved in payment security with an
online community to share information, connect with colleagues, and access education and
certification opportunities.
Definition of the Society
The
Society of Payment Security Professionals refers to the online
community formed by The Aegenis Group. Membership in the Society affords participants access to the Members’ Only section of the website, the ability to sit for the CPISM
and CPISA Certifications, as well as the right to participate in any
functions hosted by the Society, and other privileges as may be defined
by the Society from time to time. Membership in the Society is limited
to those privileges previously defined and does not grant the member
any ownership of, rights in, or claim against The Aegenis Group, Inc.
nor does it grant any privileges or rights not expressly stated.
Definition of Member
Any
person or organization who works in, or has an interest in, the card
payment security industry may become a member of the Society, by paying
the associated fees and agreeing to adhere to the ethics and membership
agreement. Members' rights and privileges are limited to those
outlined in the Society definition above and may be revoked at any time
for failure to adhere to the Society’s Code of Ethics, participation in
activities that are detrimental to the good name or objectives of the
organization, or other actions that cause or are likely to cause,
damage to the Society or The Aegenis Group, Inc.
Definition of Payment Security Professional™
A
Payment Security Professional™ is a person that is a member of the
Society of Payment Security Professionals, works within the Payment
Card Industry, or in support of the Payment Card Industry and whose job
entails analysis or management of any of the following functions:
fraud, information security, data security, regulatory compliance, or risk
management.
